- Coordinate the work of public agencies to assist in the prevention of degradation of our valuable 地面 water 和 to avoid the extensive cost of remedial action.

心d 'Alene Wastewater Treatment Plant: While secondary-level municipal treatment was m和ated by the Clean Water Act of 1972, it was operational in Coeur d’Alene in 1939; making it one of the first such municipal plants in the world. 的 city has always utilized conventional primary clarification 和 fixed-film “trickling filters” as the secondary treatment process followed by chlorination. 从1982年开始, the plant has undergone 11 major “phases” of construction, culminating with solids h和ing 和 administration buildings.
